It's going well enough, I was just really making mistakes yesterday. Today was better. His personality just isn't as cheery as the others in the office and I'm probably worrying for nothing. He seemed cool with me today.

Some bosses just have those attitudes. Hope every thing's working out alright.
Going to lounge at home and watch everything oscar wise today. ;D

yeah well it makes me a bit paranoid...
yay for OSCARS tonight, and I hope the right man wins for best supporting actor, not just the 'oops we should have given this to him when he was alive'... unless, of course, he actually deserves it for the role he's been nominated for.

Well what do you know?
Part of an HSM song was actually sung onstage at the oscars!!!

Did anyone else have mixed feelings about the Oscars last night?
I gotta say, the way things were done this year didn't work so well in comparison to past years.

I liked how the best actors/supporting actors got to be awarded by past winners...
I thought the director of the coverage was in bad taste when Jennifer Aniston was up on stage presenting awards and they kept cutting to Angelina Jolie. I swear Hollywood is run by a bunch of dorks stuck in high school. The petty drama is such a turn off.
and I was not impressed with the musicals "tribute" this year. They barely acknowledged truly GREAT musicals and made a big deal with HSM and several other movies that might have made a bit of $$ but won't stand the test of time.

Though I did like how the best actors/supporting actors were introduced by past winners, I thought that some of the presentations were quite long and sometimes drawn out. I can't really give an example off hand.
One thing that really irked me was the way the camera kept moving and zooming in and out for the segment in memory of those who passed away last year. I couldn't read the names and barely could look at the pictures because the camera kept moving back and forth! I thought I was going to be sea sick.
Unfortunately, I also thought that the musical tribute was pretty forgettable. Not saying anything against HSM3 because I haven't seen the movie or heard the songs so I didn't know what I was listening to, but overall, I just don't know. I wasn't crazy about the performance of Down To Earth during the best song montage either. The Slumdog Millionaire songs were fine (I still haven't seen that movie, but after last night, I want to.) but something about Down To Earth being sandwiched in, and then having some verses in the last few moments of the third song just seemed obtrusive. It's like someone said "Let's have a tribute to Slumdog Millionaire and throw in this random song in the middle!" I wish the songs could have been performed in separate sections of the show as in past years.
I must not have been paying attention when Jennifer Aniston was presenting an award, but that does sound like bad taste! Ugh. I'm glad I didn't see it.

it didn't help that I think John Legend was asked last minute to perform. He didn't seem to be comfortable with teh song...
I recorded most of it because I had to go to bed early... I think they should have shown all of Dame Julie Andrews' speech for her Oscar. It was one of those 'eat this' moments!

Cookies! That sounds good. Ugh, I want to say things but I feel like I am making no sense. I think I am too high on excedrin or something.
