I wasn't even aware that a new edition was coming out.

It doesn't seem like it was that long since I bought the 40th anniversary edition.

I had no idea this was coming out. After doing some research, though, I have concluded that I won't be buying it. Supposedly all of the featurettes are going to be the same as on the 40th anniversary edition, with the exception of some new featurettes about the Broadway musical, which I don't care too much about. I think the cover is really pretty, though.

I wish I could trade my copy for this one, just so I could have the cover. Ah, I must get rid of such materialistic thoughts!

lol
yeah I don't think I'll be getting the new copy... I got the 40th for Christmas when it came out... why my mom ever thought it had been a favorite of mine as a child I don't know, as I didn't see the movie until I was in high school (when she bought me the VHS)... but I love it, so no worries there.

I might be alone in saying this, but I think this cover looks very... clip art-ish. I like Mary, but she has a weird halo effect going on. I personally want to find whoever is in charge of movie posters and DVD cases today and shake them. And not just for Disney. That goes for the rest of the industry. It's like looking at a Photoshop nightmare. lol yeah I don't think I'll be getting the new copy... Wow! Same here! I didn't see it until I was fourteen or fifteen.

Disney got me with the Platinum Edition of Sleeping Beauty; they're not going to get me with this one. I'm very content with my 40th Anniversary Edition.

I never bought the 40th edition (and I agree, it DOES feel like that one just came out), so I will most likely be buying this one... Though I suppose I could wait another five years and get the 50th edition.
