The wonderful thing about the characters is that they are very interactive. Most of them are very laid back and seem to love being around people. I don't know what it's like anywhere else, but that's been the majority of my experiences here too. On the downside, however, a lot of characters are either being pulled or are not out as often. It seems like I am seeing characters less and less, with the exception of Mickey and his friends and the Alice in Wonderland characters. I know some people would disagree about the change, but I know there are also a lot of people who aren't alone with me on this, either. But, at least the characters we do have - common and rare - are awesome and are always able to make things memorable.

My most recent trip to WDW last year, I went to meet both Mickey and Minnie in the Judge's Tent. Before I approached them, I told Mickey "I saw you in Fantasmic last night, you were great." Mickey applauded, and Minnie pointed to him and nodded her head at me in agreement. Although not wanting Minnie to feel left out, I told her I loved her work as well, and we hugged. After the standard photo shot, I asked if I could get a group hug shot, which they thankfully obliged, even though in the photo it looks like they're squashing me, (only because I don't photograph well.) I then thanked them, got hugs (and a kiss from Mickey *Ooh, hope Minnie didn't mind that,*) but that was my favorite character interaction.

Whenever Erin and I met with Donald we sang a different version of the Mickey Mouse Club song... instead of "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!" we spelled out Donald's name...
Goofy at the Animal Kingdom was with him and did not approve of the song and kept saying that Mickey was #1, not Donald... we had a great argument...
the Pixie Hollow trio were a trip as well... loved it... princesses not so engaging (well Aurora was)

Hmm~~ I don't have any epic adventures to share like the opening story of Peter and Wendy, but there is one moment that really made me beyond happy.
It happened two summers ago during my first and so far only trip to WDW. I am a HUGE, HUUUUGE Kingdom Hearts fan, and I have a necklace of Demyx's sitar since he is one of my favorite characters. I also happened to be completely in love with the Aladdin series. So my friend and I were standing in line, waiting to meet Aladdin and Jasmine. We got up there, and I hand Jasmine my book first. As she's signing it, Aladdin looks over and sees my necklace. "HEY! I've seen that before! That's the thing that one guy uses to fight Sora!" My jaw hit the floor; Aladdin was talkingto me about Kingdom Hearts! He went on to talk about how Sora came to Agrabah and helped him and Jasmine (she just smiled and nodded a lot, I think she wasn't a KH player). Finally, after signatures and normal pictures, he stops me and my friend from leaving, saying, "Hey, let's take a Demyx pose, okay? Everyone, pretend you have a sitar!" So I've got a picture of me, Aladdin, and Jasmine playing air-sitars ^_^
Another moment that made me flip out, although it's not technically a character. I had been trying to find legendary cast member Maynard at Disneyland Resort since I was about 13, looking for him every trip. My last trip, I finally resigned myself to the thought that he was just impossible to hunt down....and then quite literally bumped into him at central hub!! It was amazing, I was so in awe that I finally met this man I'd heard so many stories about. He signed my book, took pictures with me, and then asked me to walk with him as he headed towards his destination, and told me stories. Anyone unfamiliar with Maynard won't think much of this experience, but it was very special and exciting for me~
