Up next in the spotlight, Disney attempts the first of his true-life adventure films. This series would take man on an intimate look at nature's wonderland. The first of these films took us to the desert, where you have sweltering heat in the day and chilling frost at night.
Cast: The narrator of the film is Winston Hibler. The rest of the cast are the inhabitants of this dry area of the world.
Part of the wonder of this film is that it presents the drama of daily desert life, while adding a touch of humor through the excellent narration.
Awards: This film won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Picture.
The real achievement of the picture is the action it displays. This was only made possible by willing naturalists, who spent hours, days, and sometimes weeks in the same location to get such footage.
And so, what are your thoughts about this film?

I've never actually seen this movie but I have a lot of respect for the filmmakers who devote so much effort into catching the perfect moment on film.
