Um... Hi, I've always loved Disney and being in Canada I get Family Channel which is basically the Disney Channel there.
But they made a huge decision! That I really do not agree with... in fact it's a really bad one.
Okay, they had all these cartoons.
Kim Possible, Jake Long, Recess, The Weekenders, The Emperor's New school, And Fillmore.
Okay, I am a Disney cartoon person, not an Disney sitcom person.
But they made a decision and the network tossed all cartoons but one... replacing them with. 'Hanna Montana, Both suite life shows, Wizards of waverly place, Jonas, Cory in the house, Sonny with a chance... and other stuff like that.
What were they doing!? All those fun unique cartoons for shows just because that's what's popular at the time?
The only cartoon they kept was Recess (Which has been on the air for at least 13 years... I liked the show but after so many years I got completely sick of it...but out of all the ones to keep?)
What I did like is that they instantly started showing Phineas and Ferb after getting rid of everything else. (Sort of makes up for it)
(My opinion the silliest most hilarious original disney show ever made.)
No offense but to me it seems like they care more about how popular the celebrities are than the quality of the show. (I mean, just because Hanna Montana herself is extremely famous does not automatically make her show funny.)
I watch disney for the humour and adventures and animation which made the movies and cartoons so darn awesome.
Not for sitcoms that I don't find funny or entertaining whatsoever.
(I am sure there are lots of people out there who do, and if they do that's okay... I don't judge people like that.)
I'm my opinion Disney succeeded because of it's animation.
That is what I love most about it.
But only having two Disney animated shows on the entire network?
I am really sorry. I should not be negative on this site... but it had really annoyed me for a while now that they would do that!
I grew up with Disney solely because of the cartoons.
I am a kid at heart which is why I always loved Disney.
