Everybody loves Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin and Cinderella. But what everybody hates is that Disney makes various sequels. everyone says that they "Ruin the Originals by making pointless sequels left and right" and that "the sequels shouldn't have even existed in the first place."(Although the Rescuers Down Under is an exception.. I agree, second one was kinda better. Shocking, isn't it? ;D Same goes for Pirates of the Caribbean. Loved the second, but i was not happy with the third..).. But surely the sequels aren't that bad. There are some sequels that i didn't like(Huncheback 2, Pocahontas 2) But there are some sequels that are still good in their own way. Could always take the Land Before Time movies as an example.. Their not Disney, but they've got atleast 13 movies! I've got nine, not as good as the original but their still good in their own way..(how many times have i said that now? ) Im sure there's someone on here that atleast has a favorite sequel. Feel free to post your favorite things about the sequels or what-not Davy Jones Rules!! ;D

Most sequels are complete garbage, though there are a few sequels (even the low tier DTV sequels) that I thought were okay and a couple that were downright great.
Toy Story 2 and Rescuers Down Under, for example, are excellent films in their own right, sequel or not. And white it hasn't come out yet, TS3 looks like it will be an enjoyable film. (SO much better than the first version of it that Disney planned on doing without Pixar!)
I actually enjoyed 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure. I don't know why exactly. I just thought that Lars was a hilarious concept for a character and I LOVE corgis (Lightning). And Lady and the Tramp 2 was cute. Neither of these films were exactly great, but they don't make me want to take my eyes out either.
Of the theatrical sequels of the past decade, Return to Neverland had it's sweet moments, but the animation is just TOO bright and clean. Same with The Jungle Book 2. As a small child (before DTV sequels were ever an issue), I remember wishing there was a sequel to The Jungle Book, but the actual film was a disappointment.
Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch was actually a pretty decent sequel for what it was. And though I have Stitch: The Movie on DVD, I really have no intention of ever watching it again.
And I have to say, I remember when Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the Kind of Thieves came out on video and it was really exciting to seeing these characters again as a kid. So I can see the appeal of sequels. Nevertheless, I almost always wish they were never made.
