There have been some requests or questions as to whether we will again celebrate the season with a Christmas party. I would love to, but I'm not certain there is enough interest. So, here is the question. Would y'all like to have a party? If so, should we refrain from calling it a Christmas party, or is everyone ok with that? I know some folks felt excluded when we called it a "Christmas" party, but I think most of those folks have left. Feel free to let me know here in the thread or PM me. If we are going to have it, I'd like to start it tomorrow or Saturday.

I'm interested! And I'm personally okay with calling it a Christmas party.

It doesn't bother me to call it a Christmas Party. I'll try to join in.

Just for the record, I'm not trying to make anyone feel out of place or wrong for objecting to "Christmas" party. I just want to know how everyone feels about it. If everyone here celebrates a secular Christmas at least, I see no reason to bring in other holidays. I just don't want anyone feeling like I am against them or that they are not welcome here. Everyone is welcome!!
Also, I wanted to let y'all know that we probably won't be doing a Secret Santa this year due to our small number. Hopefully, that number will grow and we will be able to next year. I think we can still do an avatar contest if we have two or more interested. But, we won't vote, since those participating would probably vote for themselves. Instead I'd like to have a panel of about three judges...IF we have enough interest, that is.
I also have an idea for a sing-a-long/karaoke day. If anyone else has ideas, just let me know. I'll get this started in a little bit. I'm hoping we have a couple more folks attending. Thanks for your interest.

Avatar contest sounds fun!
How exactly would we do a sing-a-long/karaoke day? ^^; I wasn't around towards the end of DS and we never had those when I was around.

That's just a fancy way of saying anyone that wants to "step up to the mic" and post a song is free to do so. Anyway, I'll go ahead and start this thing. Anyone that wants to come in is welcome.
Lumiere: Did someone say "welcome"?
Why yes! It was me. I think the first thing we need is to spruce this place up a bit. Can we get the Fairy Godmother in here?
Fairy Godmother: Oh my. Did someone call me? G...g...good gracious. You can't have a Christmas party in this place. Now, where did I put that wand? I know I had it when I...oh, I forgot. I put it away. *a candy cane appears in her hand*
That looks like a candy cane to me.
Fairy Godmother: Yes. Well, this is reserved for some very special Christmas magic. Now, the magic words. Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!
Haul out the holly Put up the tree before my spirit falls again Fill up the stocking I may be rushing things but deck the halls again now
For we need a little Christmas right this very minute Candles in the window, carols at the spinet Yes we need a little Christmas right this very minute Hasn't snowed a single flurry, but Santa dear we're in a hurry
Climb down the chimney Turn on the brightest string of lights I've ever seen Slice up the fruit cake It's time we've hung some tinsel on the evergreen bough
For I've grown a little leaner, grown a little colder Grown a little sadder, grown a little older And I need a little angel sitting on my shoulder Need a little Christmas now
For we need a little music, need a little laughter, need a little singing ringing through the rafter and we need a little snappy, happy ever after We need a little Christmas now!

Now that's lovely! Really puts me in the Christmas spirit.
Kermit: It's nice, but I think we're missing something.
Really? What?
Kermit: Frogs. No one celebrates Christmas like a frog.
Seriously? I never would have thought.
Kermit: Well, it's hard not to be in the Christmas spirit when you're so green.
Oh. I guess that does make sense.

Well, Kermit's here. I suppose that's a great excuse to play some music from "The Muppet Christmas Carol". Here's "It Feels Like Christmas".
It's in the singing of a street corner choir It's going home and getting warm by the fire It's true, wherever you find love it feels like Christmas
A cup of kindess that we share with another A sweet reunion with a friend or a brother In all the places you find love it feels like Christmas
It is the season of the heart A special time of caring The ways of love made clear It is the season of the sprit The message if we hear it Is make it last all year
It's in the giving of a gift to another A pair of mittens that were made by your mother It's all the ways that we show love that feel like Christmas
A part of childhood we'll always remember It is the summer of the soul in December Yes, when you do your best for love it feels like Christmas
It is the season of the heart A special time of caring The ways of love made clear It is the season of the sprit The message if we hear it Is make it last all year
It's in the singing of a street corner choir It's going home and getting warm by the fire It's true, wherever you find love it feels like Christmas It's true, wherever you find love it feels like Christmas It feels like Christmas It feels like Christmas It feels like Christmas
Perhaps later on we can convince Kermit to perform "One More Sleep Til Christmas".
