"This may sound facetious, but I enjoy doing everything that is given me."
Les Clark started at the Disney studio toward the end of the Alice Comedies. He worked on many of Disney's famous, or is it famouse, firsts. He worked as an inbetween animator on "Steamboat Willie". His big break came the following year with the very first Silly Symphony, "The Skeleton Dance". He animated the "Xylophone Scene". He worked on the first Mickey Mouse cartoon in color--"The Band Concert". He also worked on the first full length animated feature, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".
Although much of his work was uncredited, we can still appreciate his work. He served as directing animator in films such as "Fun and Fancy Free", "Cinderella", "Alice in Wonderland", and "Peter Pan". His best known work is probably Mickey Mouse in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice".
I am pleased to introduce the third Disney Legend, animator Les Clark, one of Walt's "9 Old Men".
