CHICAGO (MarketWatch) - Walt Disney Co. is offering buyout packages to about 600 executives at its U.S. theme parks and resorts, a company spokeswoman said Wednesday, due to pressures stemming from the economic downturn. Disney, already working to cut expenses at its domestic parks and resorts, is offering a voluntary separation plan to the executives in an effort to "contain costs and maximize efficiency," said Leslie Goodman, executive vice president of worldwide public affairs at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, in a statement. www.marketwatch.com/news/story/Disney-offer-buyouts-600-parks/story.aspx?guid=%7B6E2D8B5B-C12F-45B7-A8FF-D099FB4AA043%7D
